In 1974, Johan Cruyff shocked the world with his imagination and originality when he performed the first ever ‘Cruyff turn’. Inspired by Cruyff’s creativity, Cruyff Turn Theatre Company was created to share the artistic nature of this simply effective skill move with the world of theatre.
Cruyff Turn are a brand-new theatre company based in Norfolk and Scotland and everywhere in-between. We aim to bring interesting stories to the masses and have a bit of fun along the way.

In 2019, we took our first ever show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The modern play, written by Joseph Hollas, is about local celebrity Jeremy Shaw who is shot on his way to work one morning. He finds himself questioning his morals and the way in which he led his life whilst simultaneously bleeding out in the street. Mr. Nice Guy is a play which follows Jeremy’s last few hours of life and the impact he made in the 20 years before it. The show was well-received in Edinburgh bringing in consistent audiences and even selling out! The process of putting on our first ever show in Edinburgh inspired us to create even more with our company.
Dugs is a newly written play by Joseph Hollas which follows an afternoon in the life of three lively pups Sadie,Cheyenne and Benny. What will they get up to in their afternoon without the calming company of their owners? Who will they meet? What will they say? Come and see "Dugs" this summer to find out.
